1965-1970 Pontiac Bonneville, Catalina convertible top frame bushing rebuild kit
This is an 18 piece kit manufactured on CNC equipment, it contains all of the bushings, wave washers, proper thin nuts and all new bolts required to rebuild 1 side rail , this kit replaces the joints that are assembled using bolts, it does not replace the parts that are riveted together. Convertible Top Specialists has tested this kit in many convertible top frames, we have a test fixture we use that continually opens and closes the top frame and after 40 hours of continuous use the bushing still look like new. The convertible top frames came from the factory with plastic bushings that wear quickly, we replace them with SAE 660 oil impregnated bronze bushings that will last a lot longer and will give a much smoother operation. This kit includes a detailed installation manual with lots of pictures to help for an easy hassle free installation. Each kit does one side rail, that is the whole folding frame mechanism on one side, order 2 kits to do both sides.
