1908 The Birth of Formula One Auto Pioneers at First American Grand Prix Photo

Important 1908 photograph of two auto racing pioneers (driving the Number 2 car but unidentified) as they posed behind the wheel at the first ever American Grand Prix in Savannah. The image is an important piece of auto racing history as this image was taken at the first ever Grand Prix race ever held in American history! Taken by the famous Spooner and Wells studio of New York, Karl Spooner was at the Savannah race and took all the photos of the now iconic race! An important piece of racing history that is from the absolute genesis of Formula One and offered here for the first time ever! The photo has some wear on the right side and is from the actual Spooner and Wells company album displayed at their showroom in New York City.
