Below is the description of the normal product. Cast Aluminum Low Profile 4T65e Transmission Pan with Magnetic Drain Plug. For use on all 4T65e automatic transmissions.

This has the same bolt pattern as the 4T60E transmission, but the 4T60E uses 8mm bolts instead of 6mm. So it will only work on the 4T60e transmissions if you drill the holes out larger.

The application list below is for both 4T60e and 4T65e so if you want a direct bolt on without modifications then you have to make sure you have the 4T65e transmission. This transmission pan features a drain hole and magnetic drain plug for easier maintenance, cast-aluminum construction with a zinc coating to prevent rust, and raised cooling fins to lower transmission temperatures. Stock pans are just a thin metal with no fins which dents very easily and does not have any cooling features. #1 killer of transmissions is heat. The cooler it runs, the longer it will last! While you check if this pan will work on your vehicle, you will also need to measure the bolts used. NOTE: GM uses two different bolt holes on these transmissions, so two different bolt sizes are available.

If you have the 4t65e then you will have the 6mm bolts which will fit without a problem. Many of the 4t60e will have the 8mm bolts. Most vehicles 1998 and newer have the 6mm bolts. If you order the wrong size bolts, you will not be able to install the pan to the transmission.
