Set of NEW GM 8.5 10 Bolt 3.08 rear axle gears. 3.08 means 40:13. These were installed in a NOS axle but never run. The 8.5 is NOT the only "10 Bolt" GM used after 1971 so please look at the diff cover pictured and find out what you have. Comes with a new pinion nut, new ring gear bolts, and a new crush sleeve. These are quality factory GM gears NOT imported junk from India or China. Many more quality parts on my other listings. Will fit any 1971-98 GM vehicle WITH 8.5/8.6 rear AND 3 series carrier. 3 series carrier means it accepts factory 2.73-5.13 gears. To use these on a 2 series carrier a ring gear spacer must be used.

Gears should always be installed by a professional. Installation of gears requires proper setup - pinion depth, backlash, bearing preload, contact pattern. This is NOT a simple "bolt-in operation". Differential carrier is NOT included.
