Pontiac 400-4 speed GTO Lemans GT-37 Complete Drive Train Engine Trans & Axle

This is a Complete, 100% original 4 speed drivetrain outfit for Pontiac GTO, Lemans, Tempest, T-37 and GT-37. This setup is complete, air cleaner to rear end hubs and all came out of the same low mile, 1971 Pontiac GT-37.

This is the exact same drivetrain GTO and Lemans would come with when a 4 speed transmission was ordered. This drivetrain was removed from a 66,000 mile 1971 early production GT-37. Yes, this was their family car. The motor ran fine when removed from the car and the transmission shifted just fine.

The engine is pretty much untouched and still has its original 1970 date coded spark wires and original AC green ring spark plugs. All components are original to this car. Incudes a Pontiac 400 motor and accessories (as pictured), 4 speed Muncie M20 Transmission, and a 3:55 POSI setup. This drivetrain consists of the following. WK (L78) code 400ci Engine (4 speed engine) Block Dated.

Heads, intake manifold date codes all in line (original to car) Note early 71 GTO GTs got chrome valve covers left over from 70 production, painted over with engine blue. Muncie WT code 4 speed syncromesh transmission with bell housing, clutch, throw-out bearing (complete) with part number tag.

Complete original Hurst Competition Shifter, linkage and original black shifter ball. POSI traction 3:55 Ratio Rear Axle with posi tag.

Red/White stripe code Propeller Shaft (correct for car with M40 tranny). 4 speed brake/clutch pedal setup.

7041263 Quadrajet 4bbl Carburetor and brackets. Original Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner.

1100927 open face Delco Alternator. Power Steering pump and pulleys. Not parting this drivetrain out at this point so please don't ask.
