
This rare and original newspaper front page came from an October 5, 1912 edition of a Chicago American newspaper. The page contains a large fantastic humorous illustration of Chicago Cubs and White Sox players accompanied by a story announcing how the pitchers on both team will decide the series. Also on the page with a bold headline is news report announcing the start of the Grand Prix Automobile race in Wauwatosa race course in Milwaukee. On the back of the page is the continuing story of the Cubs versus White Sox city series. Also on the page is the World Series analysis by Chicago White Sox Hall of Fame pitcher Big Ed Walsh, who is predicting that the Red Sox behind the play of Trish Speaker will result in victory over the New York Giants.

It was held at the Wauwatosa Road Race Course. And was sanctioned by the Automobile Club of America. Won by over 15 minutes over Erwin Bergdoll. Bragg's average speed was 68.397 mph. The event was marred by the deaths of two-time and defending winner David Bruce-Brown.
