Official Renault Press Release Kit for the 1980 Long Beach Grand Prix. This comes from the estate of Joe Rusz, who wrote the annual "Porsche Sport" books.
Also as editor-in-chief of Road & Track magazine, he had access to a lot of souvenirs and press-promos not available to the normal consumer. This card-stock pocket folder has artwork depicting the Formula 1 Renault Elf on the cover with the words "Renault Presse". Inside it contains press photos and a letter on Renault letterhead, (see description below for details).
If you feel our price is out of line, please make an offer. 2-page typed letter on RENAULT USA letterhead, dated March 21, 1980 ("For Immediate Release") giving the the headline "Renault Formula One Team Arrives In Long Beach Leading World Championship", and the approved story of the teams goals for the race which newspapers could print verbatim if they desired. The words "PRESS INFORMATION" are printed at the top margin of the pages. Accompanying the letter are two 7ΒΌ x 10" glossy b&w press photos: One showing the cars, "Renault's Formula One Turbo Twins, and the other a combo portrait of both Rene Arnoux and Jean-Pierre Jabouille.
Condition is Very Good, with some foxing to the outer folder, (brown age spots), and a few spots of light foxing to the letter itself. The press photos are free of spots and immaculate. If this is an issue please contact me - I'm willing to work with you. Get images that make Supersized seem small.
